Math Rock

Math rock got its name from the complex rhythms and musical original signature. The first group, which performed math rock, is considered to be Nomeansno, founded in 1979. This style began to develope only in the beginning of the 1990s. The original structure of rhythm and dynamics with sharp riffs, developed under the influence of punk rock, heavy metal and progressive rock. Interestingly, the lyrics in the texts of math rock either absent or not expressed clearly. The role of the singer is to create an appropriate accompaniment to music. Math-rock was the beginning of many exciting areas of rock music.
