Jangle Pop

Music style Jangle-pop, which many associate with rock music, was first heard in the U.S. in the second half of the 1970s of the last century. Sound of Jangle could be called "raw" and is characterized by guitar strumming. Lyrics of the texts is understood to very few people. First performers of jang pop were The Byrds, Big Star and The Raspberries. It is worth noting that even these masters of their style of performing are very close in sound to power-pop rock. Among the artists of 1980s it is worth recalling "R.E.M.".
