Kraut Rock
Kraut-rock - the name of a music style that was created and developed in the 1960-70s in Germany. Its appearance can be explained by the desire of the German youth of that period to create something original and their own. Thus, the sound of this style can be characterized by such features: instrumental music, improvisation, electronic processing. By mixing rock and electronic music, the Germans have given rise to many rock bands, as well as the whole musical directions (ambient). The term "Kraut" arose from the word "German" in English slang in 1960s. In native German "Kraut" means "grass".
