Garage Rock
The so-called Garage rock (or "garage punk") sounded first in 1960s in America at the concerts of young groups "The Wailers" and "The Sonics". Distinctive features of this style of music consist in a rough, discordant sound, the same as the name, can be attributed to the premises, in which this style arose: in cellars and garages Garage rock mediates between rock and roll and punk rock. The modern followers of the garage rock are "The White Stripes" and "The Strokes".
