Glam Rock

At first the concept of "glam rock" (as "Glitter Rock") appeared in 1970s in the UK. Defining feature of this style was a connection of hard rock, rock 'n' roll and art rock. Spectacular images of such groups as "Kiss" and "Queen" also can be attributed to the important features of this style. Under the influence of glam-rock evolved punk, new wave and disco. Among contemporary artists of glam rock can be distinguished Bon Jovi, His Infernal Majesty, Placebo and Gorky Park.
